The Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine is one of the most popular and spiritual shrines of India. Shrine is one of the oldest shrine of India, located at a height of 5300 feet on the holy Trikuta Hills of the Shivalik Hill Range. The Holy cave is 13 Kms from the Base Camp Katra. The Town Katra is 50 Kms away from Jammu and 35 Kms from District HQ Udhampur and is linked by road.

The Goddess Mata Vaishno Devi's abode is in 100 feet long cave with a narrow opening. The holy cold and crystal clear water washes the lotus feet of the Mata's "Pindian". There are three natural pindies representing Maha Sarswati, Maha Lakshmi, Maha Kali, which represent creative, preservative, and destructive aspects of the Super Power. It is an ancient shrine whose reference is found in the Vedas and ancient scriptures. The Vaishno Devi temple is recognized as one of the "Shakti Peeths" of goddess 'Durga'.

It is said that a person goes to Vaishno Devi only when Mata herself calls them or else he can never visit there. Mata is said to be the giver of strength to weak, eyes to the blind, education to the un-educated, wealth to the poors, child to the childless and fulfills all the wishes of her devotees. Though thetemple of Mata Vaishno Devi is full of crowds throughout the year but worhsipping in Navratra is considered to be of great importanceVaishno Devi then took the form of a rock with three pindis (heads) and immersed herself into meditation for eternity. These three pindis are worshipped by Hindus across the world. The pilgrimage is known to fulfill the wishes of true devotees made with a pure heart and also washes away any sins.

How to Reach:

By Air: Jammu is well connected to the rest of India by air. Both Indian Airlines and Jet Airways operate daily flights to Jammu. The average flying time from New Delhi is about 80 minutes.

By Train: One can also reach Jammu by rail. Jammu is connected to other parts of country on broad gauge and numerous passenger trains ply from various parts of the country to Jammu. Many superfast trains also ply on this route and one can reach Jammu overnight from New Delhi.

By Road: Jammu is well connected through road also to rest of India. National Highway No. 1A passes through Jammu towards Srinagar. Regular bus services from all major North Indian cities are available for Jammu as well as Katra.

Day 01:: Delhi - Jammu

Today catch train Rajdhani Express/ Jhelum Express to Jammu. Overnight onboard the train.

Day 02:: Vaishno Devi Shrine - Katra
Upon arrival transfer to Katra Hotel. After breakfast and resting for a while trek to Bhawan, After the Darshan trek back to Katra. . Later in the evening we shall drive you back to Jammu to catch Rajdhani Express / Jhelum Express to Delhi. Overnight on board the train.

Day 03:: Arrive Delhi
Today arrive Delhi and be transferred to home / hotel.
